Intended audience
Temporary overhead workers.
On request, for non-standard or specific situations, it is possible to plan customized courses to be carried out at the customer's premises.
Prerequisites
Participants must be:
- in good, self-certified physical and mental condition;
- of age.
Objectives
Provide the knowledge and skills necessary for the correct use of category III “fall protection” PPE.
Course fee
190,00€ per participant at Kong premises (VAT exempt).
Confirmation of the course will be sent by e-mail at least 10 working days before the fixed date.
The course will be activated upon reaching a minimum of 4 participants and a maximum of 8.
Contents
Theory (2 hours)
- General reference legislation for safety at work
- The fall, dynamics and effects
- CPE and PPE, mandatory and non-mandatory legislation
- PPE categories, life of PPE, types of control
- Composition of fall arrest systems
Training (6 hours)
- Wear fall protection PPE correctly
- Operate correctly in holding, positioning and fall arrest
- Operate correctly on fixed or temporary lifelines, on portable ladders and with retractable fall arresters
- Problems related to voluntary or involuntary suspension (following a fall)
A test is conducted on conclusion of the course in the form of a multiple-choice questionnaire. A minimum score of 70% is required to pass the test.
PPE and Log book
Participants are advised to bring their own PPE (if already in possession), clothing and footwear functional for training.
If the PPE are not suitable, the organization will provide to supply them.
Who has already the Kong Log Book, should bring it in order to update.
Certification
An attendance certificate with test result is issued if the test has a final positive outcome and attendance is equal to at least 90% of the total course hours.
Payment procedure
Bank transfer within two days of receipt of the course confirmation. Registration will only be officially confirmed upon receipt of the fee.
Cancellation
In case of cancellation Kong S.p.A. will retain
- 50% if the cancellation is made within 5 working days before the beginning of the course
- the entire fee if the cancellation is made from the fourth working day before the beginning of the course, at the beginning of the course or after the course has started.
Any absences for health reasons only entitle the fee to be suspended.
